My real estate journey started with House hacking in 2007-2008 when I decided to buy a beat up duplex and rent out the biggest room in my apartment to a friend of mine and also had a tenant upstairs. I really had no idea what I was doing but I was learning fast. My plan was to move to a new house every year to take advantage of lending requirements at the time but that window closed with the Credit and lending crisis that shortly followed. Shortly following this I took on a partner Charles Cromwell and we focused on investigating in areas we knew, focus on cash flow, and do most of the work ourselves. At the start it was a lot of work but it really paid off. In this episode I share different ways to get started and what the advantages and disadvantages are of each. If you are interested to learn more reach out to me personally. In addition, I will be releasing new Real Estate focused Videos and Podcasts in the coming weeks.
